The project regarding the home for children
belonging to needy families was set up in 1994 with the
consistent support of Pastor Don BROWN,
Living waters Ministries and missionary Wayne CRIM,
Friends of Romania from Alabama, USA. Because of the legislative
vacuum the work was stopped in 1996. As nothing was done
until 2004, the home and the outbuildings not being used
got deteriorated.
By God`s help, in 2004 BETESDA Association was set up and
shortly afterwards work at the home was resumed, the title
of property was issued and all the legal procedures for
the functioning of the home for children were obtained.
At present, the president of the association is Mr.
Stefan ROMAN and the board includes the
following members: Mr. Nita SANDUCU,
Mr. Cornel SARBU and Mr. Gherghe
NEAGU.
1. To perform God’s wish to
get us involved in the social life of our community
by affirming the Christian values and principles.
2. To support the needy families and bring them to a
spiritual life
3. To create a background in order to form and bring
up the children in view of their integration in society,
from a professional, material, moral and spiritual point
of view.
With God’s help we wish to
do the following as soon as possible:
a) to finish the work at the buildings and renew the
degraded parts
b) to supply the bedrooms and study rooms with furniture
c) to fit up the appurtenances, the guest`s room, the
dining room, the canteen and the bathrooms.
In October 2005 we have started the activity at the
home for children offering proper conditions for 20
children with material needs: food, education, medical
care, clothing and school supplies.
